       Otto Wandsneider had workedin Milwaukee but moved to Franksville in Racine during the late 1920’s becominga barber to support his family. The family later moved out to Lannonseeking a better life when it was learned another man who had recently opened abarber shop wanted to get out of the business. The  lived above  Leo Hagen’s The Dugoutfor a time.

    The barbershop soon expanded to include asmall grocery/convenience store alongside, and for a time the family livedupstairs.

    Angela Wandsneider dies in 1922 and is buriedat St James cemetery.

    The Wandsneiders moved the grocery store/barbershop acrossthe street (on Lannon Rd. just south of driveway entrance to present VillageHall) and lived in the upstairs quarters.

    D. Wandsneider dies in 1928 and is buried atSt James cemetery.

    1927 – Shirley Wandsneider is born.

    Shirley Wandsneider married GordonDeLorm in 1946. She had met him a couple years earlier when visiting herWatertown cousins.

    A windstorm up-rooted many trees in the firstweek of July, 1947; and Otto Wandsneider had a tree drop on his garage.

    Later the family lived in the old Miller homewhich had been purchased by Walter & Connie Becker (late 1950’s).
