When John J. Flanagan Sr. was postmaster (andduring his son’s reign beginning in 1912) in Lannon there was a John F. Flanaganin the Town of Summit who was postmaster there from 1901-1922 ( also a JohnFlanagan, of Mapleton, obit June 16, 1862 from the Oconomowoc Free Press.).Were these individuals related to the Lannon Flanagans?

Nov. 5, 1996 – Recall Election held;Village President Terry Gissal is replaced by Shirley Ravnik and Trustee LaVernEhley by Doug Repta. Ravnik is to be the first female to hold that post in the village, andTuesday’s recall was believed to be the first in village history.
Week of Nov.14th, 1996 – Trustee NancySullivan resigns, Robert Winter moves from a commission role to replace her.
Dan Martin, a former trustee, was chosen by board members in May 1998 to succeedShirley Ravnik, who resigned as village president.
Robert T. Schieffer – Schieffer becameLannon’s first municipal judge in 1961 and served until 1974. He served again asmunicipal judge from 1988 until 1995, when his daughter, Peggy Schieffer,succeeded him on the bench. Court clerk appointed as new municipal judge Lannon- Laurie Dutcher, a court clerk in the Waukesha County Courthouse, is thevillage’s new municipal judge. Dutcher, 41, was appointed Wednesday in aunanimous decision by the Village Board. She works as a clerk for WaukeshaCounty Circuit Judge James Kieffer. She replaces Peg Schieffer, who resignedeffective Dec. 31, 2000. Schieffer is moving to Mukwonago, where she teaches,and will no longer be eligible to serve because of the village’s residencyrequirement for municipal judge. Her term was to end in April 2001. Dutcher hasnot decided whether to seek election to the post, which pays $1,800 a year.Schieffer’s clerk, Mike Garrigan, has decided to retire. Dutcher will beresponsible for appointing the new clerk.
