Mission
We are an educational society dedicated to the collection and preservation of historical artifacts, pictures, stories, and similar materials from the Sussex, Lisbon, and surrounding areas.
Our Guiding Principles Are…
– Generate interest in local history.
– Acquire and preserve local area artifacts.
– Encourage accurate preservation of architecture, landmarks, and area features.
– Preserve the area’s history and continue recording area events.
– Make artifacts and research materials available to the public.
– Create exhibits of local area historical significance and interest.
– Present educational events to the public.
– Increase support for the work of the Society.
