April 27, 2015: Hi Mike, I noticed that on your history of the George Crain Family you have my great-grandmother Catherine listed under Charles Buck as being born in February 1851. Her tombstone in St. Alban’s cemetery indicates that she was born in February of 1849. I was wondering where you got your information. Also my grandmother Lulu was initially a Gauthier not a Gauthey. Then she became a Greulich.

Notes for RUTH B. CRAINE:
Sussex Sun, April 15, 1997 – Ruth celebrated 50th anniversary with the Eastern Star. She was very active as an officer for 20 years, as chaplain, conductress, associate, matron and all five star points, Adah, Ruth, Esther, Martha, and Electra. In 1978-70, she was worthy matron. She was also a grand page at the chapter in May 1979. In 1986 and 1987 she became treasurer and served for 10 years, after which she was elected as “treasurer emeritus” of the local chapter.

Ruth Caine Lembke is a little sprightly lady who lives on a small farmstead immediately west of the Sussex Corporate Center.
She is a cat lover, an award-winning author and proud of her Manx heritage, as her ethnic family tree is from the Isle of Man, an independent island nation, located about 60 miles from the northwest of England.
In the collage photo put together in 1930, Ruth is the little girl in the front, and the woman in the lower family portraits. The first portrait was taken when she was three years old in October 1913, and the second one in March 1930. Ruth was born in 1910, and today she is 92 years old.
The upper section of the collage shows her father, George Craine, and then her mother, Olive Caine (note the only difference in the parents’ name is an “R”).
The family portraits in the lower portion show George and Olive after they had been married eight years (1913) and then again i after they had been married 25 years (1930). The girl on top is the oldest daughter, Florence, while the second-born is Ruth in the lower middle.
George was born on the Isle of Man and came to the United States as a very young boy. He was orphaned in Ohio and taken in by relatives who lived in the Sussex-Lisbon area, the C. B. Buck family, the same family who furnished two generations of Lisbon town chairmen, Charles B. Buck, Sr. and C. B. Buck, Jr.
In 1888, a very young George met Olive. They married on March 4, 1905, and raised two daughters, Florence and Ruth. Today at age 92, Ruth is the only one left.
She married Emil Lembke and upon his death acquired the 78-acre farm that forms the land mass west of the Sussex Corporate Center Industrial Park. Her land is bordered by Highway 164 on the east, Lisbon Road on the south, and Richmond road on the north.
Living in retirement, Ruth has a look in the Pauline Haass Public Library titled, “Calico’s Country Cats”. A teacher, librarian, and school psychologist, she retired in 1973 and took on a mini-career as a newspaper columnist for the Menomonee Falls News.

Ruth C. Lembke (Nee Craine) died March 3, 2006, age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Emil. Cousin of Eileen Collins. Dear godmother of Ruth. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services Tuesday, March 7 at 1:30PM at ST. ALBANS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, W239 N6440 Maple Ave., Sussex. Visitation Tuesday at the church from 11:30AM until time of service. Interment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Ruth was a retired teacher of the Wauwatosa School District, Civil Air Patrol pilot, published author, traveler, and a member of Lila B. Grazer Chapter #159 OES, Wauwatosa Women’s Club and Wisconsin Manx Society. If desired, memorials to the Pauline Haass Library or to the Eastern Star Scholarship Fund appreciated. HARDER FUNERAL HOME

Emil Lembke, student at Moody Bible Instiute in Chicago, is spending two weeks vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lembke, and family. Waukesha Freeman, August, 28, 1940.
Student as of May 3, 1939; his parents are living on Prospect Ave, Pewaukee.
April 19, 1939 – elected to serve to the Board of Deacons, Baptist church, Pewaukee.
On July 14, 1937, reported he was working in Pontiac, Mich. so he began his bible studies about 1938.
December 16, 1936 – Emil spent Sunday with his parents in Pewaukee. He made the trip home from Pontiac, Mich., where he is employed, by airplane to Milwaukee, where he visited his brother, Dettmer. (Early 1936 or late in 1935 he began employment at Pontiac, Mich.)
March 14, 1934 – He visited in Michigan with his brother, George Lembke and family.
