Lennon – Ó Leannáin. A number of western O’Leanáins (one ‘n’) eventually became Leonards. Lennan, Lennon, Lannan, Lannon, Linnane. Fermanagh, Mayo and Galway.
Lannon – A Kilkenny version of Lennon.
Lennon – Sometimes Lennan. From O’Leannáin (leann means cloak). Connected to the Galway Linnane. Most of this clan can be found in the Armagh, Down, north Louth area.

Sussex – Several of our village people attended the marriage of Allie (Alice) Lannon to Alex Brennon, of Sussex, at St. Mary’s church, Pewaukee, last Monday morning at 9 o’clock. A reception followed at the home of the bride’s father, A. Lannon (the only A. Lannon I’ve found in the area was William’s son Andrew, but he was never attributed to having been married or had children. Then in Alice’s obit, her father is listed as Edward), to which a large number of relatives were invited. Mr. and Mrs. Brennon took the afternoon train for Oconomowoc and will be at home to their many friends after July 1st at the Lannon farm, three miles west (?) of the village. Mrs. Alice Brennan, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lannon of the town of Lisbon, died Nov. 9 at her home in Oconto Falls, Wis. The body was brought here Friday, Nov. 11, for the church service and burial in St. Mary’s church and cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband, Alex Brennan and two daughters, Miss Mary, Chicago, and Mrs. Isabel, Oconto Falls, Besides these members of her family the following were among the folks to attend the last rites: Mrs J. A. Young, Oconto Falls, Mrs. A. Austin, Green Bay, Miss Irene Gulligher (Could this be a Gallagher family member that William N. married into? Second marriage) and Miss Margaret Shields of Milwaukee. Senator William Edwards and family. Mrs. Tempero, Sussex; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kollander; Dr. Margaret Caldwell, Walter Caldwell and Miss Mary Caldwell, Mrs. A. J. Jarvis, Miss Agnes Jarvis and Mrs. Katherine Roach, all of Waukesha.
The immediate family of the deceased was accommodate at the home of their cousin, Miss Ella Shields. Waukesha Freeman, November 17, 1932
