ProHealth to sell clinics to Froedtert

Waukesha-based ProHealth Care Inc. has entered into an agreement to sell its ProHealth Care Medical Associates clinics and physician practices in Germantown, Hartford and Menomonee Falls to Froedtert & Community Health.
According to Sandra Peterson, spokeswoman for ProHealth Care the transaction will be finalized by the end of August and early September. Under the agreement, ProHealth Care also will sell its ownership portion of the ambulatory surgery center on the Community Memorial Hospital campus. The ambulatory center is currently owned jointly by ProHealth Care, Froedtert & Community Health and Aurora. The agreement includes the transfer of 51 ProHealth Care physician practices and approximately 400 staff to Froedtert. The ProHealth Care Medical Associates clinics including Germantown, Hartford, Town Hall Road in Menomonee Falls, Rehabilitation Services in Menomonee Falls and Behavioral Health Services in Menomonee Falls will all become part of Froedtert & Community Health as of Sept. 7. The Behavioral Health Services Clinic in Wauwatosa will close permanently on Sept. 7.
Patients will still be able to receive care from their current physician, and medical records will automatically transfer to Froedtert & Community Health in September. All other existing ProHealth Care Medical Associates locations and providers will remain part of the ProHealth Care system.
